HC Deb 10 November 1975 vol 899 cc391-2W
Mr. Noble

asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will give a general direction to the electricity boards to make electricity stamps more generally available to the public through sale points in sub-post offices, Government offices such as the Department of Health and Social Security, employment exchanges, local government offices and shops; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Eadie

I will add these suggestions to the request to the Electricity Council promised in reply to my hon. Friend on 5th November. Stamps are already on sale in retail shops in certain places which are a long way from electricity showrooms, and I am sure that electricity boards have in mind the need to distribute the stamps widely.
