§ Mr. Gristasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will list for each of the last three years the number of civil servants in his Department who have been prematurely retired on grounds of (i) inefficiency, (ii) limited efficiency, (iii) redundancy and (iv) discipline, showing executive and administrative grades separately.
§ Mr. KaufmanSince this Department was formed on 5th March 1974, only one officer in the Administration Group—Executive Officers and above—has been retired prematurely on any of the grounds indicated—in 1975 on disciplinary grounds.
