§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsThere are at present no plans for expenditure by my Department on paid media advertising in 1975–76. The total publicity allocation for my Department is £42,950, which is currently planned to be spent as follows:
Prices Policy: £3,150 to be spent on printed material.
Fair Trading: Home Safety: £9,000 to be spent on films to be shown free on television.
Fireworks Safety: £11,300 to be spent on radio tapes, television films for free showing, leaflets, posters.
British Calibration Service: £18,900 to be spent on booklets, leaflets and exhibitions.
Photography: £600 to be spent on general photography.
All material so far produced this year has been in English but I am currently considering the possibility of printing some pamphlets in Welsh.

§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsThere has been no expenditure by my Department on paid media advertising since its inception in 1974. During the financial year 1974–75 the following expenditure on publicity was made:
Home safety: £3,100 for a film for free showing on television.
Consumer affairs: £2,101 for radio tapes.
Hire purchase: £225 for leaflet on hire purchase.
Sale of goods: £4,275 for leaflet on changes in the law relating to the sale of goods.
Advice and help: £190 for stickers.
Corporate image for consumer advice: £5,500.
British Calibration Service: £3,192 for an exhibition.
All the material produced was in English.
