HC Deb 10 November 1975 vol 899 c538W
Mr. Banks

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the numbers of community homes in existence and the numbers of children in them.

Dr. Owen

According to the plans of children's regional planning committees there were 2,293 community homes in England on 31st March 1975. It is provisionally estimated that, on that date, there were 32,900 children living in the homes, together with some 350 children in the care of voluntary organisations.
