But in order that their own employees shall be treated consistently with the rest of the community, the settlement of Civil Service pay must obviously be considered in relation to the development of our counter-inflation strategy.
§ Mr. Beithasked the Minister for the Civil Service whether the settlement of Civil Service pay by "fair comparisons", now suspended, will be restored as soon as circumstances permit.
