§ The Solicitor-GeneralIt is not practicable to calculate the extent of land to which title has been registered. By 1st December 1975 compulsory registration of title in England and Wales will cover areas comprising about 65 per cent. of the population. My noble Friend plans to extend the system to areas comprising a further 15 per cent. by 1978 and to the rest of England and Wales as soon as possible thereafter. Neither the Community Land Bill nor any existing Act of Parliament is likely to delay this programme.
