Dr. Reginald Bennettasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the greater attractiveness to savers in the private sector of building society deposits as against bank deposits in recent months, he will now include in the M3 definition of money supply all out standing building society deposits less the amounts redeposited by the building societies with the United Kingdom banks.
