HC Deb 05 November 1975 vol 899 c161W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, if he will make a statement about the development of St. Angelo Airport.

Mr. Concannon

St. Angelo is a wartime airfield owned by Fermanagh District Council and used mainly by the local flying club. I understand that Fermanagh District Council has discussed St. Angelo with neighbouring councils in Northern Ireland and in the Republic, but I am as yet unaware of any specific proposals arising from these discussions.

Major charter and scheduled flights to and from Northern Ireland are based on Aldergrove Airport, and will be for the foreseeable future.
