§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the co-ordination between his Department and the Scottish Special Housing Association in the light of delays in the construction of houses at the Castlegate, Jedburgh.
§ Mr. William RossThe construction of 10 houses on the Castlegate site in Jedburgh is being undertaken by the Scottish Special Housing Association acting as agent for the Roxburgh District Council. My Department approved tender 179W costs for these houses in July 1973 but has no responsibility for building progress on the site, which is a matter for the district council, its agents and the contractor.
