§ Mr. FreesonThe building was not purchased specifically for the use of Members of Parliament, but as a Government building. It includes a conference room, vote office, library, BBC and ITN television studios, DOE workshops and stores, photocopying rooms and plant 135W rooms as well as accommodation for 128 members and 130 secretaries. The Receiver, Metropolitan Police, was paid £1.3 million for the building in 1967. The total estimated cost of conversion is approximately £3.25 million, of which building works constitute approximately £2.82 million, and supplies services £0.43 million.
