A revised Euratom directive for the control of radioactive substances is now in an advanced stage of preparation. We are of course participating in its drafting. Work is also being done by the Commission on problems of thermal discharges and on the decommissioning of nuclear power stations, but it is too early to talk in terms of practical results.
