§ Mr. Tinnasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to ensure that no child brought from Vietnam by Project Vietnam Orphans with the consent of the then South Vietnam Government for adoption 647W by British parents will be returned to Vietnam.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsThe welfare of the children must be the primary consideration. I can assure my hon. Friend that the Government would not consider removing any of these children from the United Kingdom unless we were advised by those concerned with the care of the children in this country that such a move was in the interests of the children and were satisfied about the arrangements for their reception and care.
