§ Mr. JohnThe gross provision in Supply Estimates for the current year for expenditure by the Procurement Executive in operating its headquarters and outstation establishments and on other common services is £252 million. This includes £156 million for the research and development establishments of the Ministry of Defence. The gross provision for extra-mural research and development and for production by contract on behalf of the Procurement Executive's defence and civil customers is £1,740 million.
