§ Mr. BoothIn industries covered by the Department's annual inquiry into the earnings and hours of manual workers, the average weekly earnings of full-time manual men aged 21 and over in Scotland were £48.37 in October 1974. The industries covered are manufacturing, mining and quarrying (excluding coal mining), construction, gas, electricity and water, transport and communication (excluding railways and sea transport), certain miscellaneous services and public administration.
