§ Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his estimate of the increase in tax that would 572W be payable if all personal allowances, single, married and married woman's earned income allowance, were reduced by £20.

About £165 million assuming the allowances and rates of tax proposed for 1975–76.
