§ Mr. Mageeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will give 416W separate figures for the number of approved posts for educational psychologists in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, respectively; and in each case, what ratio of psychologists to pupils this represents.
§ Mr. ArmstrongOn 31st December 1973 the numbers of educational psychologists in full-time equivalents were 626 in England and 37 in Wales. The ratio of psychologists to pupils in England was 1:13,400 and in Wales 1:14,500. The educational services in Scotland and Northern Ireland are the responsibility of my right hon. Friend and my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretaries of State for those countries.
