§ Mr. John SilkinA general consultation document was issued when the Bill 399W was published. My Department is today issuing a further document dealing in more detail with the scope of powers and duties under the scheme, and seeking views on how these might apply to different types of development. The bodies consulted have been asked for views by the middle of June, in time for these to be taken into account in the drafting of regulations and guidance under the scheme.
