§ Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the state of relations between the United Kingdom and Cambodia following the recognition of the new Government; and if he will indicate the steps to be taken to implement the new relationship.
§ Mr. EnnalsHer Majesty's Ambassador in Peking has informed the Royal Cambodian Embassy there that Her Majesty's Government extended recognition to the Royal Government of National Union on 2nd May. When the Royal Government are ready to resume diplomatic relations with foreign countries, we stand ready to discuss the question with them.
