§ Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list the countries outside the United Kingdom in which detachments of the Special Air Services are serving and the numbers involved in each case, whether on a normal tour of duty or seconded to the service of another Government.
§ Mr. MasonIn general I cannot reveal details of this kind, although, as the House was told in the statement on the Defence Estimates, a detachment of the Special Air Service Regiment forms part of the British Army Training Team giving assistance to the Sultan of Oman's armed forces.
