§ Mr. Woofasked the Secretary of State for Industry what is the cost of resources devoted to regional development in the European Economic Community; how much is supplemented by assistance from Community funds; and what is the amount to be allocated to the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieThere are no relevant statistics for the Community as a whole. The European Investment Bank, the European Coal and Steel Community, the Guidance Section of the Agriculture Fund, the Social Fund, and in future also the Regional Development Fund, provide Community assistance. Only the Regional Development Fund, from which up to £150 million will be available to the United Kingdom during the three years 1975–77, allocates specific 251W sums in advance to the individual member States.
