§ Mr. Canavanasked the Prime Minister (1) what response he has received from other Commonwealth Heads of Government to his initiative on commodities at the Commonwealth Conference in Jamaica;
(2) if he will make a statement on the proposed Commonwealth initiative to support poorer nations.
§ The Prime MinisterI refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Stoke-on-Trent, South (Mr. Ashley) on 13th May and to the text of the communiqué of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting which has been issued as a White Paper (Cmnd. 6066).
