§ Mr. Donald Stewartasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what reply he has sent to representations from the Police Federation that war service in the Armed Forces should count for police pension purposes.
§ Mr. William RossThe claim that war service be counted for police pension purposes was considered by the appropriate committee of the Police Council for the United Kingdom on 18th March 1975, and it was agreed that all officers who joined the police before 30th June 1950 following war service in the Armed Forces could, by purchase, count that service at half rate.
