§ Mr. William RossRepresentations about ending parental contributions to student grants are received from time to time from Members, from students and their parents, from student organisations and from academic authorities. The line of reply has been that the cost of this change would be substantial and in relation to other educational priorities it is difficult to see where the additional resources might be found.
