Lord AVEBURY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

The PARLIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE, DEPARTMENT of the ENVIRONMENT (Baroness Birk)

By the end of 1974, 117 sites had been provided in England and Wales offering accommodation for 1,728 gypsy caravans. Eighty-three of the sites were permanent and 34 temporary. The local authorities also had proposals
