§ Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish figures in the Official Report showing the pupil-teacher ratios for each of the education authorities within the Greater Manchester area for primary and secondary schools, and for primary and secondary schools in educational priority areas for the most recent year for which figures are available and for the two preceding years.

The above figures relate to the metropolitan districts which came into existance on 1st April 1974 but comparable figures are not available for earlier years. I regret that separate information in respect of educational priority areas is also not available.
