§ Mrs. Winifred Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will bring forward legislation to enable self-employed persons in Scotland who pay local rates to pay rates by instalments.
§ Mr. William RossI refer the hon. Lady to Section 8 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1975, which received Royal Assent on 8th May. This provision will come into force in the financial year 1976–77.
