§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to issue general guidance to local authorities wishing to transfer the management of certain estates to housing cooperatives in accordince with the provisions of the Housing Rents and Subsidies Act 1975.
§ Mr. KaufmanThe Campbell Working Party on Co-operative Housing is due to make its final report within the next two to three months. When my hon. Friend the Minister for Housing and Construction has considered the report he will issue guidance to local authorities and others. This will probably be in the autumn.
§ Mr. Scottasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will appoint a member of a co-ownership housing society to the Campbell Committee on Co-operative Housing.
§ Mr. FreesonNo, but existing members include some who have considerable experience in that field. Any co-owner is, of course, free to submit his views in writing to the working party.
