§ Mr. Townsendasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is being done to increase the number of teachers qualified to teach deaf children.
§ Mr. ArmstrongWall Hall College, Watford, is to provide a new one-year full-time course leading to the specialist488W qualification to teach deaf children. A start is planned in September 1975.
At the invitation of my Department, Leeds and Bristol area training organisations are considering whether training provision for teachers of the deaf might be made in their respective areas.
