How many of the following species are at present (or the nearest available date) being used for experimental purposes at the Huntingdon Research Centre: baboons; other primates; dogs; cats; pigs.

General statistics are not maintained of the number of animals being used for experimental purposes.

Under what section of the Cruelty to Animals Act 1876 the following experiment was conducted at the Huntingdon Research Centre: Pedigree beagle dogs poisoned with sodium chlorate by being force-fed the weed-killer by stomach tube over a period of five days.
