§ Mr. KaufmanFifty-two housing associations have so far been registered with the Housing Corporation, 24 of them since 1st April. Two applications have been rejected. If housing associations ask why 451W registration has been refused they will normally be given an explanation, but there could be cases where the corporation would conclude that there were overwhelming objections to disclosure of its reasons. The statutory responsibility for advising the Housing Corporation on registration rests with the Housing Associations Registration Advisory Committee appointed under Section 14 of the Housing Act 1974.
