§ Mr. MulleyIn the 1974 Railways Act I introduced a new support system for railways and grants towards the provision of private siding and related equipment. These will provide incentives to transfer suitable freight to rail, but it is too early to estimate their effect. I do not believe an inquiry is necessary.
