§ Mr. William RossNo. Housing subsidies are available to public authorities to help them to meet the range of housing needs in their areas and I see no need to introduce a new form of subsidy to assist with the housing of a particular group. Assistance from public funds for the board and lodging costs of students is already given through the system of students' awards.
