§ Mr. MaclennanIt is the intention to continue the food subsidies programme at broadly its present level throughout 1975, although some minor adjustments may be made later in the year to smooth the transition to lower rates of payment in the financial year 1976–77. Detailed decisions will be taken nearer the time in the light of developing economic conditions and the expected price movements for the various subsidised foods.
