HC Deb 05 May 1975 vol 891 c363W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what amounts of capital debt incurred by civil aerodromes in the United Kingdom have been written off by central Government over the past 20 years.

Mr. Clinton Davis

As far as can be ascertained, there have been no cases of capital debt incurred by aerodromes being written off in the last 20 years. However, two aerodromes in Great Britain, Edinburgh and Glamorgan, were transferred from Government ownership free of charge, when their fixed assets were valued respectively at £691,430 and £400,017.
