§ Mr. Georgeasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how often she 262W intends to increase the earnings disregard for supplementary benefit to keep pace with the cost of living, as recommended by the Finer Committee on One-Parent Families.
§ Mr. O'MalleyThe earnings disregard is being doubled later this year. It will then be subject to further review in the light of subsequent economic changes, but there is no proposal to increase it at set intervals.
