§ Mr. Knoxasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for each year since 1945 the rate of tax payable on tobacco and wine and spirits.
§ Dr. Gilbert:The information is contained in the Annual Reports of the Commissioners of Customs and Excise, copies of which are available in the Library of the House. Each report includes tables listing the basic rates of duty on tobacco and alcoholic drinks for the previous 10 years.
