§ Mr. Maxwell-Hyslopasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what estimate he has of the number of farm animals which have died or had to be slaughtered as a result of starvation or malnutrition in the months September to February last, inclusive.
§ Mr. StrangMy officials have been monitoring the wintering of livestock in recent months. While I cannot quantify the losses this winter, nor compare them with losses in previous years, I am glad to record that the mild weather has largely compensated for the shortage of fodder in some parts of the country.
