§ Mr. Monroasked the Lord Advocate how many prosecutions he has instituted under the Licensing (Scotland) Acts during 1974 for drinking outwith licensing hours.
The Lord AdvocateSuch statistics are not kept by my Department. Contraventions of the Licensing (Scotland) Acts are normally prosecuted in police and JP courts, where the prosecutors do not come under my control. If the District Courts (Scotland) Bill is enacted in its present form, the prosecutors in these courts will come under my control.
