§ Mr. Watkinsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many persons working in the social services are holders of social service qualifications and are not recognised as professionally qualified social workers by the Central Council for the Education and Training in Social Work.
§ Mr. Alec Jones:At 30th September 1973, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 1,301 full time and 201 part-time staff employed in local authority social services departments in 15W England who held qualifications in social science but did not qualify for recognition by the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work.
