The Service figures above include both United Kingdom and non-United Kingdom personnel and cover officers, Service men and Service women. The civilian figures include both United Kingdom-based staff and locally engaged civilians overseas; they also include staff of the Procurement Executive, the Meteorological Office and the Royal Ordnance Factories.
