HC Deb 20 March 1975 vol 888 c525W
Mr Macfarlane

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the current national revenue deficit of £3,065 million will prevent a balance of the internal Budget by 5th April 1975.

Mr. Dell:

It is expected that expenditure to be met from the Consolidated Fund in the current financial year ending 31st March 1975 will exceed the revenue to be paid into the fund during the same period. The deficit will be met from the National Loans Fund under the provisions of Section 18 of the National Loans Act 1968.
