Mr. Channon

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in the Official Report the local authorities whose audits for 1972–73 have not yet been completed.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give the date by which audits for local authorities for 1971–72 were completed.

Mr. Crosland:

They have not yet been completed; seven are still outstanding.

Mr. Channon

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment by what date he anticipates the audits for local authorities for 1972–73 will be completed.

Mr. Crosland:

This is a matter for the district auditors.

Mr. Channon

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if any of the annual audits for the year 1972–73 has so far involved the making of surcharges arising out of the delay in implementing the Housing Finance Act 1972.

Mr. Crosland:
