§ 45. Mr. Brittanasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proportion of fish is landed from boats less than 40 ft.; and how many people in the fishing industry operate boats of less than 40 ft.
§ Mr. Bishop:It is estimated that some 10 per cent. of all landings of fish in England and Wales is from vessels of less than 40 ft. and that the total number of fishermen engaged on those vessels is of the order of 4,800.
