§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, in the light of the conclusion of renegotiations with the EEC, he will state the obligation, or otherwise, of the United Kingdom to send directly-elected members to the European Assembly at an unspecified future date, should the United Kingdom decide to remain a member of the EEC.
