HC Deb 17 March 1975 vol 888 c298W
Mr. Raison

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether the surcharge of some £7,000 on the councillors of the former Clay Cross district has now been paid; if not when he expects it to be paid ; and what further loss in rent income there has been in Clay Cross since the £7,000 was incurred.

Mr. Crosland:

These are matters which fall to the district auditor. I am informed that the £7,000 surcharge has not yet been paid.
