§ Mr. Meacher:Precise figures for the whole industry are not available, but 268W estimates for the two years 1972–73, the latest for which figures are available, show that approximately 72 per cent, of ship repair work done in United Kingdom yards was for British commercial owners, 22 per cent, for foreign owners, and 6 per cent, was work on Royal Fleet auxiliary vessels for the Ministry of Defence.
