Mr. Corberttasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in consultation with local authorities and voluntary organisations, she will organise a national survey of old people at risk.
§ Mr. Alec Jones:Since health authorities are well aware of the need to identify old people at risk, I consider that the resources required for a national survey are better used in the provision of services for such people.
