In the absence of nationally determined standards, staffing levels are matters for individual employing authorities. The additional numbers of radiographers—in whole-time equivalents—currently required by area health authorities in Wales are:

(A) Therapeutic
South Glamorgan 1
West Glamorgan nil

Other area health authorities in Wales do not employ radiographers for therapeutic purposes.

(B) Diagnostic
Clwyd 7
Dyfed 2
Gwent 0.3
Gwynedd 9
Mid Glamorgan 3.5
Powys nil
South Glamorgan 9
West Glamorgan 3
