§ Mr. PrenticeMy Department does not normally give separate financial support for further education curriculum development. A significant amount of this work is undertaken by the various further education examining and validating bodies in their respective fields and I have no plans at present to change this arrangement. I agree with the view which has been expressed by a number of interested bodies that any extension of day release would need to be preceded by appropriate curriculum development.
