§ Mr. Joel BarnettThe figures below, which are based on the latest available information, relate to central and local government current and capital expenditure on goods and services, expressed as a percentage of gross national product at market prices. They are based on the United Nations system of national accounts which differs in some respects from the usual United Kingdom presentation. Comparable figures are not available for other elements of public expenditure.
Wales. Estimates for 1965–66 to 1967–68, and in programme detail for the later years, are not readily available for the United Kingdom and could not be obtained without incurring disproportionate costs.
